L.A.C. Observation Run
After having to cancel the above run in March planned by Neil Ashman and Treen Schmidt due to Covid 19 the run was finally reconvened for 11.10.
Departure from Whirly’s Carpark at 10am! RSVP’s were spasmodic, one member whose name I won’t mention RSVP’d 3 times – confirmation numbers were adjusted accordingly!!! Anyway an attendance of approx 80 members with quite a few new members present – welcome to your first event!!! 36 cars were rolled up which was quite a spectacle in front of the Sea Breeze Hotel for a quiet Sunday Tumby afternoon!!! The hotel staff did a splendid job looking after us considering the number of adjustments up to departure time!!!! The drive and questionnaire was very well done and tested a few members travelling to the Sea Breeze via Lincoln, Nth Shields, Poonindie, Louth Bay, Lipson & Tumby – everyone arrived in a reasonable time with smiles on their faces & obviously having shared some camaraderie on the way!!!
Winners of the day were as follows:-
1st Prize – Steve (Wal) Hammond with 41 out of 41 – Car Cleaning Kit and a $50 Eyre Fuel voucher.
2nd Prize – 3 entrants with 40 out of 41 – Steve Weir, Jacki Harding and Liz Weir, Bryan Montgomery – who each received $50 Eyre Fuel vouchers.
