LAC on parade!

LAC well represented in 2017 Tunarama Parade

Lincoln Auto Club members were well represented in this year’s Tunarama parade as they filled the usual display of representative Club vehicles, officially transporting the current Port Lincoln Ambassador and the visiting Loxton Ambassador, and promoting the upcoming Teakle Auto Sprint event.

Co-ordinator, Ross Gogler, assembled the cars on the Lincoln Primary School Oval prior to the parade.  It was pleasing to see many of the entrants and their vehicles were very new Club members.  Thanks Ross.

Not so new member Allan Schwarz, lead the LAC contingent in his 1961 Series 11 Landrover.  Travelling with him was Peter Jones who had greatly assisted in the restoration of the Landy.

Although their car has been in the Club for many years, new members Duane and Jane Pearce were proud to show off their recently acquired 1968 MGB.

Welcome to our NEWEST members of the Club (as of January 28th that is!).  Gino and Vita La Rovere added something different with their immaculately restored and fitted out 1966 International C1200.  Check it out when you can and you will find it’s not your average tradie van!

After competing in last year’s Muscle Car Run, and hooning around Phillip Island, Cliff Carpenter had trouble keeping his 1976 HJ Statesman at parade walking pace!  It’s no wonder with a motor like that Cliffy!

Following close behind, and handling the parade pace like only a Holden can, was Kym Anderson in a very original 1966 HR sedan.

New members George and Fran (who didn’t wish to be photographed) Smith added a bit of American muscle to the parade with their 1977 Corvette.

As usual, Mick Hart pulled the birds, and used his wife’s car to do it!

The classic 1955 Chevy was the Official Tunarama vehicle carrying the 2016 Tunarama Ambassador Kellie Williams (centre) and the visiting 2016 Loxton Ambassador, Shellee Vallis (right).  That’s Mick on the left by the way!

Club members Tony Rodda (left), and  Hagen Zerk (centre) were flying the Teakle Auto Sprint flag. Supporting them in more ways than one was Major Sponsor Peter Teakle, (right) along with his Ferrari.  To get the latest on the Teakle Auto Sprint, visit their website by clicking here.
