Triangle Cruise for Lincoln Auto Club
Triangle Cruise was held on 17th April 2016
It was a great rollup for the Burson Auto Parts and Overland Homes Triangle Cruise in April. 68 people in 32 cars and Club stalwart Mike Chambers on his motorbike proved the annual event is a popular one.
With rain clouds threatening the fleet headed off for Cummins following the usual car park chat. The convoy was quite large of course and proved quite a sight as the clouds cleared and the sun shone on a beautiful Autumn day.
On arrival in Cummins the members’ cars attracted quite a lot of interest parked in the street and at the Railway Triangle where some had chosen to have a picnic lunch. The food and service at the hotel was once again much appreciated, and was the reason we returned following last year’s experience.
New members stole the limelight with Andrew Cornell-Trapp given the task of doing the fuel voucher draw. The winners were also new members Judy and Alex McLean. There were no cries of “Redraw!”
Following lunch the gaggle headed for Tumby Bay with the tree lined road and winding hills providing a therapeutic drive for all. Some cars took the option of turning for home at Tumby whilst others rolled on to either coffee and afternoon tea at the Café, or a quiet drink at the Hotel.
All obviously enjoyed the day. Thank you for your support in participating in this popular event.
